Deadly Dickson Strikes Again!
03.12.06
Dulwich extended their lead at the top of the table to two points with a hard-fought victory over a rugged Kingstonian side. The only goal of the game, a phrase not too often heard at the Hamlet, came in the 57th minute as leading scorer Chris Dickson latched on to David Moore's flick inside to roll the ball past an advancing Luke Garrard and in off the far upright. Victory extends Dulwich's lead at the top of the table to two points after Dartford leapfrogged second place Fleet with a 3-0 victory at Calthorpe Park. Elsewhere Dover were beaten 1-0 at home by the Met Police, Ben Abbey converting a penalty. Molesey's fine run of victories ended at home to struggling Whyteleafe, a 2-1 victory moving the visitors awaay from the relegation places. Goals galore at Bromley as Cray Wanderers defeated Burgess Hill Town 6-2, whilst both Leatherhead (3-0 at home to Walton Casuals) and Horsham YMCA (3-1 at home to Godalming Town) recorded morale-boosting victories. Rock-bottom Corinthian-Casuals were left without a game as their match at home to Maidstone United fell victim to the weather as did the games between Chatham Town and Ashford Town, Sittingbourne and Hastings United and Croydon Athletic and Tooting.
