Last Saturday, we recorded another away victory, 2-0 at SITTINGBOURNE. Once again our defence made a shaky start and in the third minute the home side's Bradley Spice shot wide when well placed. We gradually settled down, however, and the rest of the half was a fairly dour affair with defences dominant as both sides struggled to play constructive football on a bumpy pitch. The second-half was similar for a long while, although we managed to create a couple of half chances. Phil Williams shot wide on one occasion, and later Shawn Beveney fired into the side netting after a neat exchange of passes with Billy Chattaway. It was not until the 80th minute that the deadlock was broken. From Billy Chattaway's right-wing corner, the ball rebounded towards the edge of the box where Jermaine Hinds was on hand to drive home through a crowded goalmouth. Sittingbourne made three substitutions in an attempt to get back into the game, but we went on to dominate the closing stages. Meshach Nugent just failed to make a decent contact when a shot from Sebastian Schoburgh cannoned off a defender into his path and, as the clock ticked down, home 'keeper Jamie Riley made fine saves from Shawn Beveney and Meshach Nugent. Eventually, in the third minute of stoppage time, we netted a second goal to clinch our win. Sebastian Schoburgh beat two defenders and sprinted into the box before hitting a tremendous right-foot cross shot beyond Riley.
